Fixing Up the Home

Friday, May 13th, 2011

I have been making an effort lately to fix all of the things in my home that were neglected while I was so busy with work last year. One of the things I am fixing is the lighting outside our home. I decided to install a sensor lighting camera on the front porch. I was indecisive between installing only lighting, or lighting with a camera. It was getting really aggravating to walk up the stairs in the dark, especially since my toddlers tend to leave their play things all over the front porch and I didn’t want to trip on them; nor did I want visitors to potentially trip, due to the darkness. The new sensor lighting camera that we installed is really a godsend and helps me sleep better at night, given that it provides security lighting as well as pictures of what triggered the motion sensor. Yes, I do sleep better, thanks to the sensor lighting camera.

How I Bought New Door Handles

Friday, January 7th, 2011

About one month ago, my family and I decided that it was time to upgrade many of the accessories and appliances in our house. We all gave each other little lists of things that we were responsible for and that we had to get done. My list wasn’t too hard except on the list it was written that I had to upgrade all of the Door Handles. At first I thought that this talk would be pretty easy and that I wouldn’t have much problems doing it. But, I was wrong. When I went to the local home repair store, all of their door knobs didn’t look nice and I knew that my wife wouldn’t like them. Also, they were priced pretty heavy and I knew that they were not worth the money that they were charging. Then I heard about http://www.discountlocks.co.uk/Door-Handles-s/139.htm. This great website is awesome, when I lived in the UK, I could get cheap and very nice looking door handles! I am so glad that I went to this website!

Accessing Floor Safes

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

There are some important and valuable things that you always either want to be near you or you want to have easy and quick access to. In most cases, renting a safety deposit box would do. If you have money to spare, you may decide to buy a safe. The most common safe to get is the one thats stuck on a wall or if you want something big enough, others would get a safe that can be stored inside a closet like those found in hotel rooms. Im considering floor safes instead of the usual wall safes. The natural instinct of a burglar when looking for a safe is to check the walls for paintings that could hide something behind it. Not a lot would think of checking out the floor. My friends tell me that when in it comes to safety and security in the home or business, always think like a thief.
